Joaquin was fourteen years old when he walked through the rugged Sierra Madre mountains of southern Mexico into the arms of Saul Cruz, director of Armonia Ministries, a Christian Transformation group. He was a poor indigenous Indian, a Chinanteca, speaking his Indian dialect and only broken Spanish
